Mission
Statement
The County Administrator is responsible for carrying out the policies
and ordinances of the County Council, for overseeing the day-to-day
operations of the county, and for appointing all non-elected county
department heads. The County Administrator is appointed by the
County Council and is assisted by a deputy administrator and an
assistant administrator. Annual functions of the office include
preparation of a proposed budget and associated projects, review
of departmental performances, oversight of capital projects, and
participation in economic recruitment activities.
