Spartanburg County Council met on Monday, August 21, 2000, at 2:00 o’clock p.m. in Conference Room Two County Administrative Office Building. All members of County Council were present, along with Mr. James K. Hartmann, County Administrator; Bill Dennis, Deputy County Administrator; Glenn Breed, Assistant County Administrator, and Mr. Roy McBee Smith, County Attorney

In compliance with the Freedom of Information Act, notice of this meeting was provided in advance to the local news media and other interested parties.

1. Chairman Floyd called the meeting to order.
2. Motion by Mr. Adams to waive rules, nominate and appoint James Michael Nolan to the Athletic Commission. Motion seconded by Mr. Britt and carried. Motion by Ms. Floyd to waive rules, nominate and appoint Mark Zayas and David Culbreth to the EMS Advisory Committee. Motion seconded by Mr. Britt and carried. Motion by Mr. Adams to waive rules, nominate and appoint Calvin King to the EMS Advisory Committee. Motion seconded by Mr. Britt and carried. Motion by Ms. Floyd to waive rules, nominate and appoint Ronald Blair Morehead to the EMS Advisory Committere. Motion seconded by Mr. Britt and carried. Motion by Ms. Floyd to waive rules, nominate and appoint Sam Ravan, John Albert Mullin, Tracy Taylor and Sandra Corley to the EMS Advisory Committee. Motion seconded by Rock Adams and carried. Motion by Rock Adams to waive rules, nominate and appoint Antonio Zayas to the EMS Advisory Committee. Motion seconded by Mr. Britt and carried. Motion by Mr. Huckaby to waive rules, nominate and appoint Karen L. Hause to the EMS Advisory Committee. Motion seconded by Mr. Britt and carried. Motion by Mr. Britt to waive rules, nominate and appoint Lewis Moore to the EMS Advisory Committee. Motion seconded and carried.

Motion by Mr. Nutt to waive rules, nominate and appoint Jim Crook to an at-large seat on the Health Services District Board. Motion seconded by Mr. Britt and carried. Motion by Mr. Adams to waive rules, nominate and appoint Mike Wood to the District 4 position on the Health Services District Board. Motion seconded by Ms. Stewart and carried.

 

Motion by Mr. Horton to waive rules, nominate and appoint Chuck Ewart and Don Woodward to the Workforce Investment Board (formerly the Private Industry Council). Motion seconded by Ms. Stewart and carried.
