Spartanburg County Council met on Monday, June 19, 2000, at 2:00 o’clock p.m. in Conference Room Two, County Administrative Office Building. All members of County Council were in attendance along with James Hartmann, County Administrator; Bill Dennis, Deputy County Administrator; Glenn Breed, Assistant County Administrator; and Edwin Haskell, Assistant County Attorney.

In compliance with the Freedom of Information Act, notice of this meeting was provided in advance to the local news media and other interested parties.

1. Chairman Floyd called the meeting to order.
2. Motion by Mr. Huckaby to waive rules, nominate and appoint Lynn Page to the Domestic Violence Board. Motion seconded by Mr. Britt and carried. Motion by Mr. Nutt to waive rules, nominate and appoint Vance Patrick Evatt to the EMS Advisory Committee. Motion seconded by Mr. Huckaby and carried. Motion by Ms. Floyd to waive rules, nominate and appoint Lori Hinds to the EMS Advisory Committee. Motion seconded by Mr. Huckaby and carried. Motion by Mr. Huckaby to waive rules, nominate and appoint Hubert Odom to the EMS Advisory Board. Motion seconded by Mr. Britt and carried. Motion by Mr. Adams to waive rules, nominate and appoint Dr. Thomas Fussell to the Board of Health. Motion seconded by Mr. Huckaby and carried.Motion by Mr. Huckaby to waive rules, nominate and appoint Ben Davis to the Private Industry Council. Motion seconded by Mr. Britt and carried. Motion by Mr. Britt to appoint Craig Jacobs to the Private Industry Council. Motion seconded by Mr. Huckaby and carried. Motion by Mr. Nutt to waive rules, nominate and appoint G. Craig Sims to the Unified Land Management Ordinance Appeals Board. Motion seconded by Mr. Britt and carried. Motion by Mr. Nutt to waive rules, nominate and appoint Barney Harmon, Gus Shoolbred, Steve Evatt, and Janice Daniel to the Water and Sewer Advisory Committee. Motion seconded by Mr. Britt and carried.
3. Mr. Jurgen Forster of MPI Southern Fineblanking Division appeared regarding the Spartanburg Regional Health Services District Board. Mr. Forster encouraged Council to increase the membership of the Board to include members of large employers.
