Spartanburg County Council met on Monday, July 24, 2000, at 2:00 o’clock p.m. in Conference Room Two, County Administrative Office Building. All members of County Council were in attendance along with James Hartmann, County Administrator; Bill Dennis, Deputy County Administrator; Glenn Breed, Assistant County Administrator; and Edwin Haskell, Assistant County Attorney.

In compliance with the Freedom of Information Act, notice of this meeting was provided in advance to the local news media and other interested parties.

1. Chairman Floyd called the meeting to order.
2. Motion by Mr. Horton to waive rules, nominate and appoint Nancy Jordan to the Chesnee Community Fire District Commission. Motion seconded by Mr. Huckaby and carried. Motion by Mr. Huckaby to waive rules, nominate and appoint Judy Kugler, George Mitchell, Joni Phillips, John Rollins, Geraldine Nantz, and Judy Lewis to the Domestic Violence Board. Motion seconded by Mr. Britt and carried. Motion by Mr. Nutt to waive rules, nominate and appoint Gus Ward to the Water & Sewer Advisory Committee. Motion seconded by Mr. Britt and carried.
