- Chairman Floyd discussed the Spirit of the Community Award. Mr. Fred Dent has suggested that the County develop such an award, which would recognize industries and business throughout the County. Each month the County would recognize a business and give its employees some sort of recognition gift. This concept needs to be developed further with the help of local businessmen. Funds for the recognition program would come from the private sector. Motion by Mr. Huckaby to recommend to full Council that the Spirit of the Community Award concept be adopted and further developed. Motion seconded by Ms. Stewart and carried.
