The Public Safety and Judiciary Committee of Spartanburg County Council met on Monday, January 17, 2000, Conference Room Two, County Administrative Office Building. The following were present: Honorable Rock Adams, Chairman; along with Frank Nutt and Ken Huckaby, Committee members. Also in attendance were the Honorables Karen Floyd, David Britt, Johnnye Code Stewart, and Jeff Horton Council Members; along with James K. Hartmann, County Administrator; Glenn Breed, Assistant County Administrator; and Roy McBee Smith, County Attorney.

Chairman Adams called the meeting to order.

A. Mr. David Jones appeared to provide information relative to a proposed Tower Attachment License Agreement between Spartanburg County and Carolina Phone Company. Due to the fact that Carolina Phone Company is a subsidiary of Microcell, who is involved in litigation with Spartanburg County, a motion was made by Mr. Huckaby to table this matter pending further information. Motion seconded by Mr. Nutt and carried. Mr. Jones was informed that he is free to negotiate with other companies relative to tower attachment license agreements.
B. Information was received regarding activities of the Building Codes Department.
