SPARTANBURG COUNTY ADOPT-A-ROAD PROGRAM ADOPT-A-ROAD is designed to save the taxpayers money in litter removal and serve as an educational tool against littering. Through Adopt-A-Road, local civic, beautification and business groups adopt two-mile sections of road in or near their communities, where they pick up litter at least four times a year. Additionally, the Department provides and erects signs stating which organization adopted and cleaned a specific section of road. Adopt-A-Road promotes and establishes stewardship of public lands by citizens, and is an excellent example of the public and private sector working together to solve a mutual problem. For more information regarding the Spartanburg County Adopt-A-Road program, contact Lori Cullop at (864)596-3582 or (864)562-4083. Upcoming Dates
