Page and another man entered the business about 4:50 a.m. and threatened an employee with a handgun. The employee turned over about $250 in a bag and the men fled the business parking lot in a late model Chevrolet. Sheriff’s deputies stopped the car minutes later near the intersection of New Cut Road and I-85 Business. Page was one of four people inside the car. Deputies recovered the stolen money, the gun and the hooded sweatshirts worn during the robbery. Page, Lewis Davis, 20, Hollis Tinsley, 24, and Kisha M. Terry, 22, all of Spartanburg, were charged with armed robbery. Davis pleaded guilty in March and received a 30-year prison sentence that was suspended to 15 years of service and 3 years of probation. The charge on Tinsley and Terry is still pending. Davis and Page entered the business together and Page held the gun, according to Principal Deputy Solicitor Barry Barnette. Davis and Page will serve 85 percent of their prison sentences before they are eligible for release. |
