I was wondering though about the phone directory, see if there is anything that you can do about getting the Spartanburg County Senior Citizens Centers phone #'s posted. Startex Resident:You have a great site. How about some info on spending and developement in our smaller towns and villages, and whats with all this annexing by Duncan city and Startex gets nothing in return. Hey Duncan how about fixing and paving our roads now that you have our land! If not just hand it back over and we'll take care of it ourselves.

Robert W. Robinson:Was very easy to get to your site. We have a more serious request if you can help us. We have two small grandchildren who we have not heard from since Easter and are desperately trying to find out if they are alright. Their mother, Mary Ann Robinson, left New York State with them along with her boyfriend, Gary Denesha, in the middle of the night on Feb.13th of this year against a family court order not to remove the children out of St.Lawrence County. Mary has been turned in numerous times by her neighbors for child abuse and Social Services here have been trying to find her. In addition, Mary has a DUI here and has driven her boyfriends Grand Cherokee for over 2 years with no driver's license. Our son works in Washington State and has not heard from her either. Can someone foreward this request to local Social Services Office to see if they could at least see if the grandchildren are ok? Through the internet, I found their address: 120 Cooley St., Duncan, SC but could find no phone number. Have sent birthday gifts to grandchildren but have had no reply. Guest:It was disappointed to find a county as large as Spartanburg without an accessible GIS page.... I saw the new assessment addition and found it, too, is not accessable...what is the deal with this? Why do you not get with the times and update this site?

jenia:I was just wandering why we seem to have a never ending supply of beer joints, adult night clubs and things of this nature, but our teenagers have no place to go that is just for them. This county seems to have forgotten we too have young people, just like Greenville.

:The web site itself is very nice and helpful. My comment is, I cannot believe that you charge a large service fee to use the internet to pay your taxes, twenty dollars for a 500.00 tax bill. If Spartanburg wants to continue to grow and move forward, know that the other larger cities do not charge for this service, or they charge a small, no more than 5.00, service fee. I was very disappointed when I went to pay the taxes on line and found this out. I did not pay this outrageous fee.

Taxpayer:Why does it take so long for minutes on County Council meetings to post on your web site. It is usually two months after the meeting before they are posted.
