Spartanburg County’s major roadways are the entrances to our community. These thoroughfares frequently color visitors’ first impression of Spartanburg County, affecting tourism and economic development.

As part of our County's Strategic Vision Plan, we are actively working to create a more vibrant downtown. In order to do that, we must improve aesthetics and enhance the gateways leading into downtown Spartanburg. 

The County is currently reviewing the condition of properties along Asheville Highway. We would love to have property owners partner with us to improve the appearance of their respective properties along Asheville Highway.

We hope you'll join us and help us achieve our goal of beautifying our County and major corridors, welcoming more visitors and more business, by removing any blight (overgrown grass, defacing, dilapidation, sanitation issues, etc.), addressing any violations you may have received from our Code Enforcement team, and doing your part to maintain your property--an important piece of Spartanburg--so that it can remain one of which we can be proud.

We will be reviewing locations that are currently under violation and will be identifying unmaintained property for improvement.
