(Feb. 28, 1961 for "in-country" before Aug. 5, 1964)

Gulf War:

Aug. 2, 1990 - Date to be set

The Veteran is ultimately responsible for his or her transportation to VA medical appointments. 

The veteran can drive themselves or have family or a friend drive them. If they qualify, the VA will reimburse them for travel expenses.
