Spartanburg County Council has waived the fees associated with online payments of third party fees when paying online until further notice.

Registration will be available online beginning October 1, 2021 through November 12, 2021. There will be no registration available the day(s) of the Tax Sale.

To allow for social distancing at the tax sale, the number of bidders will be limited to the first 316 to successfully register online.

Mission Statement

The Tax Collector's Office collects delinquent taxes and special taxes on real estate, mobile homes, watercraft, South Carolina Department of Revenue assessed charges and other personal property. If taxes aren't collected the office holds annual tax sales in accordance with Title XII of the South Carolina Code of Laws. The Office processes refunds due to abatements by the Assessor and Auditor and processes all bankruptcy claims.

Spartanburg County Tax Collector will never call, text or email you asking for any personal information such as a bank account or credit card number, account PIN or password or Social Security number. Ways to pay your taxes: If delinquent taxes are owed, current bills cannot be accepted online or by phone.
Phone Payments
are available: 1-833-537-0683 or Payments Online 

Convenience Fees will apply when paying online or by phone. Spartanburg County does not receive any portion of the fees.
  • Credit Card - A 2.50% + .30 convenience fee. (VISA, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover) American Express not available by phone, online only.
  • PayPal - A 2.50% + .30 convenience fee.
  • PayPal Credit (Payments over $99.00)
Paid Receipts - Payments made by internet or phone will post the following business day.

Spartanburg County Tax Collector does not accept credit card payments from credit card issuers outside the US.
