BELOW IS PURSUANT TO PIEDMONT COMMUNITY ACTIONS' CONSTITUTION & BYLAWS - 1/28/87.
Section 4 - Public Officials
One-third of the members of the Governing Board shall be elected Public Officials or their representatives.
The County Council in each county shall select the elected public officials to serve on the Board. In event there are not enough elected public officials reasonably to serve on the Board, the designating officials may select appointed public officials to serve on the Board Both the elected and appointed public officials selected to serve on the Board shall have either general governmental responsibilities which require them to deal with poverty-related issues. They may not be officials with only limited, specialized or administrative responsibilities.
Each public official selected to serve on the Board may choose one permanent representative to serve on the Board either full time in his/her place, or whenever he/she is unable to attend a meeting. These representatives need not be public officials whom they represent at meetings of the Board.
If the public officials, both elected and appointed, who are willing to serve, do not comprise on-third of the Board, then the remainder ofthe seats allotted to public officials shall remain vacant.

3rd Tuesday of every other month - - January, March, May, July, September and November |
