SPARTANBURG, S.C. - Beginning on July 5th, Spartanburg County plans to start work on Meadowbrook Road, ultimately transforming the road.
The plan is to close about 2,100 linear feet of the existing Meadowbrook Road, beginning at its
intersection with Shelton Drive.
Meadowbrook Road will be closed for about six months while the new roadway is constructed.
The current roadway is narrow, being only about 15’ wide; and it has several challenging curves.
The new road will have a curb and gutters, and it will be 24’ wide (two 12-foot paved lanes).
The project is being completed through a partnership with Mark III Properties.
The total estimated cost of this project is $1.2 million.
Our crews will post signage next week, reminding drivers of the upcoming closure.
