A top-ranking BMW Group official on Monday praised the automaker’s Spartanburg County plant.

During a conversation with CNBC’s Phil LeBeau about the new X4 M40i, Ian Robertson, with BMW Group’s Board of Management, said the Spartanburg County facility sold more than 400,000 vehicles in 2015. The plant, Robertson said, is on pace to sell 450,000 vehicles this year.

“It’s the biggest plant in the BMW world now,” Robertson said, “and we’re delighted with the performance down there.”
