A BMW supplier says it will build a new plant in Spartanburg County and employ up to 110 new workers, with hiring to start in early 2017. International Mold Corp. of Clinton Township, Mich., recently bought a 10.5-acre site at 865 Victor Hill Road behind BMW’s Performance Center off Highway 101, according to Ben Pfropper, vice president of sales for International Mold. The company specializes in the manufacture of injection, floor molding and rim tooling equipment.

BMW spokeswoman Sky Foster said she is aware of International Mold’s plans.“All BMW suppliers contribute to the strengthening of our daily operations,” she said. BMW, in the midst of a $1 billion expansion, has 270 suppliers in North America, with some 40 in South Carolina that employ more than 20,000 people.
