GoUpstate: SC Inland Port in Spartanburg County reports record volume in last fiscal year

The Inland Port in Greer handled a record number of containers this past year, as its customer base continues to grow. The S.C. Ports Authority …said the Inland Port handled 91,698 containers during the fiscal year that ended June 30. That compares with 58,000 containers the year before and 40,000 during its first full year of operation. The port opened in 2013. In the year ahead, the authority expects the inland port to handle 110,000 containers.
