1. Does the county radio shop buy radios?

No, the Spartanburg Communications/9-1-1 radio shop does not purchase radios or radio accessories for City/County Departments, but will make recommendations and assist with specifications for purchase. The communications department manages the monthly billing for approximately 1600 radios per month. Radios are purchased by the individual department or agency with their budgeted funds. Exceptions are special funding, grants or projects for county agencies.
